Day 1 Arrival Beijing(inner mongolia tour from beijing)

Welcome to our capital city, Beijing.You will be met and transferred to hotel.Free on your own at the rest of the day.

Day 2 Beijing

Our English speaking tour guide will pick you up from hotel lobby in the morning.Then transfer you to the Mutianyu Great Wall . 
Mutianyu Great Wall is located in Huairou District, Beijing, 73 kilometers away from Beijing downtown area.Mutianyu Great Wall was first built in the mid-6th century during the Northern Qi (A.D. 550- A.D. 577), older than the Badaling section of the Great Wall. In 1569, the Mutianyu Great Wall was rebuilt and till today most parts of it are well preserved. The Mutianyu Great Wall has the largest construction scale and best quality among all sections of Great Wall.
It was extended and restore in the early Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). The reconstruction took place under the supervision of General Xu Da, who was one of the founding generals of the Ming Dynasty. In 1404, a pass was built in the wall. During the reconstruction, he was responsible for construct a wall from Shanhaiguan in the east to as far as Mutianyu. The construction of it was to serve as a vital symbol of protection from marauding nomads to the north.
After lunch, continue to visit Dingling Tomb–Located at the eastern foot of the Dayu Mountain, Dingling is the joint burial tomb of the 13th Ming emperor zhu yijun and his two empresses. Zhu yijun(1563-1620), whose reign title was Wanli and posthumous title was Shenzong, ascended the throne at the age of 10 and ruled for 48 years until he died at the age of 58. It took six years to build Dingling, construction of which started in Nov. 1584 and ended in June 1590. Dingling covers an area of 180,000 square meters.The Underground Palace of Dingling is the only one of the Ming Tombs excavated so far.
After that, we will transfer you back to your hotel.

Day 3 BeijingHohhot

Our English speaking tour guide will pick you up from hotel lobby in the morning.Then transfer you to the Tiananmen Square. It is located at the center of Beijing City. At present, the square covers about 40.5 hectares (100 acres), making it one of the largest open-air squares in the world.
Then move on to the Forbidden City–Forbidden City, also known as the Palace Museum, and Gu Gong in Chinese, lies at the city center of Beijing, and once served as the imperial palace for 24 emperors during the Ming and Qing Dynasties (1368 – 1911). It was first built throughout 14 years during the reign of Emperor Chengzu in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). Ancient Chinese Astronomers believed that the Purple Star (Polaris) was in the center of heaven and the Heavenly Emperor lived in the Purple Palace. The Palace for the emperor on earth was so called the Purple City. It was forbidden to enter without special permission of the emperor. Hence its name ‘The Purple Forbidden City’, usually ‘The Forbidden City’.
After lunch at downtown Beijing, drive to the Temple of Heaven–Tiantan, the Temple of Heaven, was established in 1420 during the reign of Ming Emperor Yongle (r. 1403-1424), who also founded the Forbidden City. The temple was originally established as the Temple of Heaven and Earth, but was given its current name during the reign of Ming Emperor Jiajing (r. 1522-1567), who built separate complexes for the earth, sun, and moon. 
Then move on to the Summer Palace.Situated in the Haidian District northwest of Beijing, Summer Palace is 9 miles (15 kilometers) from the downtown area. Being the largest and most well-preserved royal park in China, it greatly influences Chinese horticulture and landscape with its famous natural views and cultural interests, which also has long been recognized as ‘The Museum of Royal Gardens’.It ranked amongst the World Heritage Sites by UNESCO in 1998, as well as one of the first national AAAAA tourist spots in China.

When tour is over, you will be transferred to train station by tour guide and driver, take K89(Dep 22:17- Arr 07:25) soft-sleeper to Hohhot. The whole journey takes about 9 hours. (4 people sharing one cabin ）

Day 4 HohhotXilamuren Grassland

Our English speaking tour guide will pick you up from train station in the morning.Then, you will take about 2 hours driving to reach Xilamuren Grassland, which is one of the must-see attractions in Inner Mongolia.In Mongolian language, Xilamuren means “yellow water”, and some people would like to call it “Zhao River”.Xilamuren Grassland is teemed with green grass and fresh flowers every summer and autumn. This grassland is about 90km away from Hohhot in the north.It is the closest grassland near Hohhot and is one of the most popular grassland for travelers from home and abroad relax on.

Upon arrival, you’ll receive a traditional welcoming ceremony by the local Mongolians colorfully dressed. You will taste the traditional Mongolian food and take part in local horseback riding.You are arranged to go to the stud farm to select the horse for your horseback riding. The cost for horseback riding is not included in the tour package, visiting Aobao and a herdsmen’s family, which usually takes about 2-3 hours. The horseback is the highlight of the tour (pay on your own).  Afterwards, you will see the performances of Mongolian style wrestling, Horse racing and Equestrian.

At night, people sit around bonfires singing and dancing to their hearts’ content. After one day’s travel, you will stay in a Mongolian yurt. Far away from the light pollution, you will have chance to see the stars shinning in the night sky.

Day 5 Xilamuren GrasslandResonant Sand Gorge

After breakfast,we drive to the Resonant Sand Gorge. After arriving at the Resonant Sand Gorge, take the bus to the chairlift station. Then take chairlift to the top of the sand hill. First take 20-30 minutes camel ride on the desert. Then enjoying the sand sliding for one times. For more activities, you are requested to pay by yourself. 

The Resonant Sand Gorge (Xiangshawan) is located in Kubuqi Desert which is 50 kilometers from Baotou of Inner Mongolia. The sand gorge is famous for its resonating sand dunes which can range from 30ft to 40ft in height. The distinctive feature of the Resonant Sand Gorge is its 45 degree gradient which means the sand dunes can reach heights of 90 meters. 
The sand gorge has become one of the hottest tourist attractions of Inner Mongolia with tourists flocking to catch a glimpse of the echoing sand plains. There is also a range of activities such as camel rides, sand-sliding, cable way and other activities are available at the 5 different hotelresorts located in the desert. 

When tour is over, you will be transferred to train station by tour guide and driver, take K90(Dep 22:44- Arr 07:26) soft-sleeper to Beijing. The whole journey takes about 9 hours.

Day 6 Beijing

Arrival in Beijing at 07:26 am. You are supposed to check in the hotel on your own when you arrive at Beijing.
